Who is Joe Rogan, and Why Do So Many People Hate Him?

Joe Rogan is a man who, lately, has been under fire for past words said in the last 12 years. He is a politically unpredictable, down to earth podcast host who tends to have some very abstract opinions. The problem is in today’s society, abstract opinions are not accepted unless they follow the “politically correct” guidelines.

Rogan was originally a UFC commentator before he started his podcast in 2009. From then on, he had been hosting countless episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience”. On this podcast, Joe hosts many different people with many different beliefs. He brings his comedy side to these conversations as topics, sometimes controversial, are discussed.

But why do so many people hate him, especially right now? Footage and quotes from the early days of his podcast have been dug up by people out to cancel him. These clips included Rogan using the n-word in a few different ways ranging from quoting a rap, to actually using it as a racial slur. Joe Rogan uses Spotify, a music and podcast streaming service, as a main method of sharing his episodes. Recently following the release of the clips, a few artists such as Neil Young have removed their music from Spotify in protest to Rogan’s past words.

They wanted Spotify to remove Rogan from the platform essentially breaking the over $100 million contract that Rogan has with Spotify. Spotify, however, did not listen to the demands of these artists after Rogan deleted the some 50 episodes with any kind of questionable slur related to the issue. They also added a disclaimer to his channel about COVID inaccuracies and so forth. Ironically, a few days later after Spotify refused to remove Rogan, Neil Young brought his music back to Spotify. This really show just how “serious” he was about this issue, and the need he had for Spotify’s platform. Neil probably changed his mind after the public released footage of him using the same, if not worse, slurs earlier in his life and career.

That’s a general run-down of the Joe Rogan issue Spotify is facing and CNN’s favorite “racist” story as of late. Rogan also made the mistake of apologizing to the public. This action essentially told the leftists that he made the mistake, and they have the go-ahead to cancel him.
